Liverpool considering €60 million move for Omar Marmoush

Liverpool are reportedly considering making an opening offer worth €60 million to test Eintracht Frankfurt’s resolve on Omar Marmoush.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool are eager to bring Omar Marmoush ‘as soon as possible’ to the club and could make an opening offer worth €60 million. The Egyptian striker has been in sensational form with Eintracht Frankfurt, who might not entertain January offers if they are in a strong position in the Bundesliga.

Arne Slot inherited a strong squad from Jurgen Klopp and did not make any alterations with new signings. Federico Chiesa was the only outfield player signed during the summer window, and thew winger is yet to feature for the side in a big capacity. Hence, Arne Slot will now begin his own operation and select his targets rather intricately.

While there are obvious needs in the backline and defensive midfield positions, Arne Slot could also target a new striker to bolster his attacking ranks. Darwin Nunez has struggled, and Diogo Jota is now considered Liverpool’s starting No.9, meaning the Uruguayan’s future could be in doubt.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has so far quashed speculation about Nunez’s exit from the club, but should he continue to play second fiddle, the time might come soon enough. Either way, Liverpool could evaluate their squad before January before making any big transfer decisions, although given a chance, they might bring in that new striker.

Liverpool were set to launch a move for Omar Marmoush, with the Egyptian striker dazzling in the Bundesliga this season. Nine goals in seven games, including a sensational brace against Bayern Munich recently, have piqued the interest in the 25-year-old Bundesliga striker from top clubs, including the Reds, as speculation around the striker has increased.

Liverpool keen to test with Marmoush offer

Numerous big clubs have watched Marmoush, and they are keen to add a striker to his profile. However, Liverpool could look to get ahead in the race. They are keen to test Eintracht Frankfurt with an opening offer of €60 million, and they want to get the Egyptian as soon as possible.

Frankfurt are currently third in the Bundesliga, and should they keep progressing enough to stay in the title race, it will be difficult to see them sell the 25-year-old Bundesliga striker. In any case, Marmoush has a contract until 2027, meaning the German giants will certainly ask for considerably more for the Egyptian and might not sell in January.
