Aston Villa, West Ham United and Fulham want Fikayo Tomori

Aston Villa, West Ham United and Fulham are interested in bringing AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori back to the Premier League.

According to a report from Milanlive, Fikayo Tomori who has been one of the mainstays of AC Milan in recent seasons could be shown the exit door following his recent poor performances. He could be headed back to the Premier League where Aston Villa, West Ham United and Fulham are all keen on his signature.

Tomori was a part of the Chelsea youth ranks. He came up the ranks at some pace and made it to the Blues’ first team in the summer of 2017. He had a few loan spells away from the club and even got a few opportunities to play for the London club’s first team.

But, things didn’t work out for him at Chelsea and he ended up joining AC Milan on a short loan at the start of 2021. Things clicked for him at the Italian outfit who ended up signing him on a permanent basis in the summer.

Tomori has been a constant feature at the back for the Italian giants. He has featured in 150 matches for them and played an important part in their Serie A winning campaign back in the day. Apart from the game against Venezia, the former Chelsea star has started every game for Paulo Fonseca’s team.

The Portuguese manager counts on the 26-year-old but the English international’s recent performances haven’t been at the expected levels. He received a lot of criticism following their defeat to Fiorentina and recent reports suggest that if Tomori doesn’t turn things around quickly he could be shown the exit door in the next transfer window.

Premier League clubs are keen on signing Tomori

With him valued at around €30 million, Milan could look to cash in on him and use those funds to reinforce their squad. A return to the Premier League could be on the cards for the Chelsea graduate. While Newcastle who were interested in him during the summer are still in the mix, Aston Villa, West Ham United and Fulham are also keen on signing him.

Unai Emery wants to further strengthen his defensive rotation and Tomori could be a great fit in his system. Despite adding two new centre-backs in the summer, West Ham only have a total of four options in the heart of the defence and they are looking to add more quality.

Just like the Hammers, the Cottagers also lack depth at the back and the English centre-back could help their cause. While there is no shortage of takers, a potential transfer depends on the player’s performance from here on.
