However, they have an advantage in the Okoli chase, given that they have scouted the defender before, as they have with other Italian-based players in the past.
Hence, Spurs might have a bigger say over Newcastle United or West Ham if Leicester City show any inclination about selling the 23-year-old Premier League centre-back next summer. Even if they do, the Foxes are known as tough negotiators and will demand a significant fee that will more than double their investment in the Italian international.
