According to a report by Danish outlet Tipsbladet, Dario Osorio is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils recently dispatched scouts to watch the FC Midtjylland winger against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Meanwhile, the 20-year-old has already been a target for Real Madrid and Liverpool, with the Merseyside club failing with a bid to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Dario Osorio is the latest South American prospect to rise in prominence at a European club. The continent continues to produce highly-rated prodigies, with Alejandro Garnacho, Lucas Beraldo, and Endrick making their mark in Europe. Osorio does not represent a high-profile outfit but has stamped his authority at FC Midtjylland.
A native of Hijuelas, the 20-year-old spent his formative years in his homeland but has risen in prominence during his spell with FC Midtjylland. The Danish giants signed Osorio in July 2023, and he has been solid thus far this term, chipping in with three goals and one assist in 16 outings across all competitions. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has alerted Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Manchester United.
Liverpool wanted to sign the Chilean winger from FC Midtjylland in the summer transfer window before a move failed to see the light of day. The Merseyside club can do with a player like Osorio, considering Mohamed Salah has entered the final 12 months of his contract. However, it is unclear if Liverpool will return with a bid next year.
Dario Osorio has also been on Real Madrid’s radar for a long time. The reigning La Liga champions have tracking the young winger’s progress since his time in Chile. The South American prospect can be a long-term solution in the final third for Real Madrid, especially if Rodrygo embarks on a new adventure in a few years.
