Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly sent scouts to watch 18-year-old Ivorian winger Bazoumana Toure in the Allsvenskan match against BK Hacken on Thursday.
According to a report by Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen, Bazoumana Toure is the subject of interest from several well-known clubs across Europe. Arsenal and Manchester United are among the clubs to scout the 18-year-old Hammarby IF winger in the Allsvenskan match against BK Hacken on Thursday.
Who is Bazoumana Toure?
Bazoumana Toure has made considerable progress in his short stint with Hammarby IF thus far. The African winger spent most of his formative years in his homeland, turning professional in the Ivory Coast with ASEC Mimosas. However, he has risen in prominence during his spell with the Swedish club.
The 18-year-old has been incredible thus far this season for Hammarby IF, chipping in with six goals and three assists in 16 appearances. However, Toure has yet to break into his national side, as he currently represents the under-20 team for Ivory Coast. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe.
The Allsvenskan match against BK Hacken piqued the interest of many well-known clubs, with Brighton & Hove Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bayer Leverkusen, and VfL Wolfsburg sending scouts to watch the Ivorian winger. In addition, Arsenal and Manchester United had talent spotters present at the game on Thursday.
Premier League move on the horizon?
Arsenal and Manchester United regularly lock horns in the market for highly-rated prospects, with recent reports linking the Premier League bigwigs with Marc Bernal. Meanwhile, Bazoumana Toure has emerged as a viable target for the two English heavyweights, considering he can be a long-term wide attacking solution for the clubs.
Toure can play on both flanks, making him an appealing target for Arsenal for the left wing. As for Manchester United, they might find a use for the Ivory Coast youth international on the right flank, where he could compete with compatriot Amad Diallo for the first-choice berth.
While Arsenal and Manchester United are attractive destinations for the 18-year-old Ivorian winger, Brighton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bayer Leverkusen, and Wolfsburg are also appealing clubs. It will be interesting to see where the teenage sensation lands next year if he leaves Hammarby.
