Premier League heavyweights Liverpool are reportedly looking to sign 23-year-old Real Madrid mainstay Rodrygo Goes in a deal worth €100 million next summer.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Rodrygo Goes is the subject of interest from Liverpool. The Reds have been keen on signing the Real Madrid attacker for a long time. They are ready to pull the trigger to land the 23-year-old in the 2025 summer transfer window, with a bid worth €100 million in the works.
Rodrygo Goes has established himself as one of the best young players in the world since joining Real Madrid from Santos FC in July 2019. The South American attacker arrived in Madrid with a lot of hype and fanfare surrounding him, with Florentino Perez pushing for a dynamic transfer policy that banked on world-class prospects.
The 23-year-old has lived up to the billing since joining Real Madrid half a decade ago, gradually establishing himself as a mainstay in the final third for Los Blancos. The youngster has been decent in the early days of the 2024/25 season, chipping in with three goals and two assists in nine appearances across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Rodrygo’s exploits for his club and country have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Liverpool’s continued interest in Rodrygo Goes is understandable. The Reds are in a spot of bother over the long-term future of Mohamed Salah, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract. In addition, the Egyptian international is on the wrong side of 30, although he has not shown any signs of age catching up with him.
