Arsenal are considering a cut-price move for long-term striker target Dusan Vlahovic next summer amid his complicated situation at Juventus.
According to Team Talk, Dusan Vlahovic continues to have Mikel Arteta’s attention as Arsenal ponder making a cut-price move for the Serbian next summer. The Juventus striker is no closer to signing a new deal at Juventus. He will have a year left on his existing contract next summer, as the Gunners eye a ‘Federico Chiesa-type’ situation with the striker.
Arsenal are still in the market for a new striker, as many continue to believe they need a prolific presence up front to make them undisputed challengers. The Gunners have needed a presence of that sort. Despite links to many players during the summer, Mikel Arteta persisted with his options, consisting of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, while selling Eddie Nketiah to Crystal Palace.
Havertz has made the centre-forward position his own since the beginning of 2024, and Arteta will continue to trust him to lead the line for Arsenal. Despite the faith in the German international, the Gunners are persistently linked with names like Viktor Gyokeres, among others.
They were also linked with Jhon Duran as an alternative to Gyokeres following the Colombian’s impressive form. However, one name that refuses to leave their list is that of Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic, who they chased before he joined the Bianconeri from Fiorentina in the January window of 2022.
Arsenal are reportedly tracking Vlahovic ahead of next summer and could make a concerted effort to land the forward. Juventus paid €80 million for the Serbian in 2022 and will continue to hold out for a considerable fee if they choose to sell him rather than retain him, but the Gunners have different ideas with this pursuit.

Vlahovic’s current deal expires in 2026, which means he will have entered the final year of his contract next summer. Juventus are still on the fence about extending his stay at the club following a mixed start to the season, where his brace against Hellas Verona was the only goal he has scored so far in five games.
If his form continues to dwindle, they may sell the €80 million-rated striker next summer. Without an extension, Arsenal are looking for a situation very similar to that of Federico Chiesa this summer, when the winger left for a knocked-down price to join Liverpool. Vlahovic would suit Arteta’s style and could regain his form and consistency under the Spaniard if the conditions match.
