Valencia keen on Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic

Valencia are keen to sign Stefan Bajcetic from Liverpool to improve their midfield, although signing him will be a challenging prospect.

According to Fichajes, Valencia would be interested in signing Stefan Bajcetic from Liverpool as they could explore the idea of a deal. The 19-year-old prodigy is currently on loan at RB Salzburg, who are in the Champions League, as a possible summer approach could be on the cards.

Some Liverpool fans felt the club made a mistake by offloading Stefan Bajcetic on loan to RB Salzburg in the summer. There was plenty of news around the 19-year-old prodigy in the latter stages of the transfer window. Barcelona reportedly tried to hijack the deal for the young Spaniard but eventually failed, as they were pushed for an emergency midfield signing following the injury to Marc Bernal.

Bajcetic eventually completed his move to Salzburg, managed by former Jurgen Klopp assistant Pep Ljinders. Liverpool did trust their former coach to aid the 19-year-old’s development, and this move felt like the right choice, as the midfielder has already featured once in the Austrian Bundesliga and their Champions League loss to Sparta Prague.

Bajcetic could gain a lot of experience playing in these competitions and as a starter, as Liverpool feels he can contribute to the side in the future. Hence, they might be counting on him ahead of the following seasons, depending on how he develops, although the decent interest in his services during the summer from Spanish clubs could return.

Valencia interested in Bajcetic

Valencia were one of the Spanish sides keen on Bajcetic during the summer, although it appears they retain an interest in the 19-year-old prodigy. The La Liga side are looking to reinforce their midfield options ahead of the following windows and could even target a January move for the Liverpool man. Moreover, they could potentially lose Javi Guerra in the future, with Arsenal among those keen on the midfielder

The fact that Bajcetic is on loan at Salzburg will make it difficult to make a move in January, as there will be complications. Secondly, Liverpool are still counting on the midfielder for the future, and the loan was designed to help him gain experience. While Valencia could end up offering him an essential role in their squad, any decision will be with the player and what he chooses to do with his future.
