Southampton want to tie Tyler Dibling to new deal amid Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle United links

Southampton are eager and hopeful of extending Tyler Dibling’s contract, with a host of Premier League sides already circling for the attacker.

According to TBR, Southampton are hopeful to see Tyler Dibling commit his future to the club amid rising interest in the 19-year-old’s signature. A host of Premier League sides are watching the attacker with intent, as his contract at St Marys expires next summer.

Southampton secured their first point of the new season following a draw against fellow newly-promoted side Ipswich Town. A late goal from their opponents undid the Saints, as they were essentially staring at their first win of the campaign. However, the more exciting sight was their early opener against the Tractor Boys, courtesy of winger Tyler Dibling.

The 19-year-old has been in the news with relation to links to some of the big clubs in the Premier League. Manchester United saw him first hand in the previous matchday, as Dibling performed well against the experienced Diogo Dalot, and they were among those watching him with intent as Southampton faced Ipswich.

Tottenham and Newcastle United are also looking at him for different reasons. The Magpies are essentially looking at a new right winger as they ponder bringing a replacement for Miguel Almiron, with the Paraguayan’s time at St James Park could be coming to an end.

Spurs are also on the quest to bring some of the best young profiles from around, and they are open to signing a winger in the mould of Dibling as competition for Brennan Johnson. Hence, should the 19-year-old decide to leave Southampton when his contract expires next summer, he will have no shortage of options.

Southampton keen to renew Dibling contract

Southampton wants to keep Dibling, but the attacker may be in no rush to commit terms at St Marys. The 19-year-old will carefully consider all options available, especially if it becomes clear that the Saints are heading towards an immediate relegation. He also has interest from clubs like Crystal Palace, where he could thrive and stay in the Premier League rather than return to the Championship.

However, should Southampton experience an upturn in fortunes ahead of the next few months and climb up in the standings, they will try their best to convince Dibling to stay. Hence, there’s no certainty that the 19-year-old will leave the club, as there’s every chance for him to stay and continue his career at St Marys for the time being at the very least.
