Manchester United ready to entertain offers for Victor Lindelof

Manchester United are ready to cash in on Victor Lindelof next year as they compile a five-window plan to take the team forward.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Manchester United are compiling a five-window plan to take the team forward and become a winning machine. That includes planning new signings that can serve them in the long-term future. In addition, they are ready to cash in on a few players, including Victor Lindelof.

Victor Lindelof and his Manchester United journey so far

Victor Lindelof has been in and out of the starting lineup at Manchester United since arriving from SL Benfica in a deal worth €35 million in July 2017. The Swede has enjoyed phases where he has been the first-choice centre-back, including central defensive partnerships with Eric Bailly and Harry Maguire.

However, the 30-year-old has been a backup player under the tutelage of Erik ten Hag, with game time coming at a premium. Lindelof has turned out over 250 times thus far for Manchester United while chipping in with four goals and seven assists.

However, the seven-season veteran faces an uncertain future at Manchester United after entering the final 12 months of his contract with the Premier League club. The Red Devils were keen on cashing in on the Swedish international in the summer transfer window before a move failed to see the light of day. That might change in the coming months.

What next?

Manchester United are compiling a five-window plan to transform the first team into a winning machine like neighbours Manchester City. That includes planning new signings that can take Erik ten Hag’s squad forward. In addition, Manchester United will look to offload a few players who do not offer much value to the side.

Victor Lindelof is one of the players who do not have a long-term future at Manchester United. So, the Red Devils are ready to entertain offers to part ways with the 30-year-old Swedish central defender in the January transfer window.

Apart from the seven-season veteran, the Premier League heavyweights are ready to offload Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. It will be interesting to see where the Swede will land as he approaches the final months of his spell with Manchester United.
