Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are all interested in the services of Red Bull Salzburg defensive sensation Samson Baidoo.
Samson Baidoo’s exceptional rise at Red Bull Salzburg have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs. According to a report from HITC, the Austrian defensive sensation is on the wishlist of Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United. All three Premier League clubs have been monitoring him ahead of a potential move in the near future.
Baidoo got promoted to the Salzburg first team in the summer of 2022 and he hasn’t looked back since. The 20-year-old centre-back has established himself in their first team and has also managed to make his debut for the Austrian national team.
While he was out injured for a significant period of time, Baidoo had his breakthrough season last time out. This time around he has been a constant feature for the Austrian club at the back and his consistent performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
He still has around three years left on his deal at Salzburg but there is a significant amount of interest in his services and he could be on the move in the near future. Baidoo is a ball-playing centre-half who loves to push further up the pitch and get involved in the thick of things.

They feel the 20-year-old could do wonders for them in the long run. As a result, City have been keeping tabs on him for the past 18 months. Their scouts are impressed by his abilities and feel he could be a great signing for them.
Apart from City, Tottenham and Newcastle have also monitored the youngster in the recent past. Ange Postecoglou seeks more depth in the heart of the defence while Eddie Howe also feels the need to reinforce his backline with a younger option.
Baidoo could be just the perfect signing for all three clubs. Meanwhile, Salzburg will be happy to see the amount of competition for his services as it will allow them to make a significant financial gain from his move.
