Arsenal ponder offering William Saliba in deal to sign Aurelien Tchouameni

Arsenal are considering offering the services of their defensive mainstay William Saliba to sign Real Madrid superstar Aurelien Tchouameni.

According to a report from Defensa Central, Arsenal are keen on acquiring the services of Aurelien Tchouameni and in order to bring the Real Madrid midfield mainstay to London, the Gunners are willing to offer their defensive star William Saliba as a part of the deal.

Mikel Arteta has helped revive Arsenal, as they are back competing with the best clubs in the world after almost a decade thanks to the good work done by the Spanish manager. But having lost out on the league title in the last two seasons by the smallest of margins, he is keen on reinforcing his squad.

While the Gunners have added Mikel Merino to further bolster his midfield, Arteta is a huge fan of Aurelien Tchouameni and wants him in his squad. The French defensive midfielder, who joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2022, is already considered to be one of the best in his position despite being just 24.

Arsenal willing to offer Saliba to sign Tchouameni

Aurelien Tchouameni’s contract with the Spanish giants runs until the summer of 2028, and they have no intention of negotiating his departure. But, Arsenal have a trump card in William Saliba, and they are looking to make the most of it. At 23, the French centre-back is one of the best young defenders in the Premier League, and Real Madrid have identified him as a top target to bolster their backline.

With David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger on the wrong side of 30, Carlo Ancelotti’s team need to reinforce their backline on a priority basis. They need to prepare for the long run, and Saliba is a name that is highly appreciated by the people at the club.

Real Madrid feel the French international could be the perfect fit for the project that is home to some of the best young players in the world. While Arsenal are considering offering Saliba in a deal to sign Tchouameni, Real Madrid have no intentions of letting their defensive midfielder leave the club despite their strong interest in the services of the North London club’s defensive sensation.
