Arsenal considering part-exchange deal to sign Federico Dimarco, Real Madrid also keen

Arsenal could consider a part-exchange deal with Inter Milan to sign top-rated left-back Federico Dimarco next summer.

According to Inter Live, Federico Dimarco is a reported target for Arsenal next summer as they plot a part-exchange offer to test Inter Milan. The Italian international also has Real Madrid’s glances. The Gunners could look for a big swoop, as they are willing to let go of an ‘important’ player in the process, plus cash.

Arsenal’s formula for Federico Dimarco

Arsenal fans will be quite astonished if the club manages to bring in another left-back next summer. The Gunners are extremely well-stocked in that area, with at least four or five different options at their disposal. The right-footed Jurrien Timber has started two of their last three games there, while summer signing Riccardo Calafiori is pencilled in to take that role in the long run.

The unwanted Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko are the out-and-out left-back options at Mikel Arteta’s disposal, while Jakub Kiwior has also played there. Overall, the Gunners do not need another player in the left-back position, but as things stand, they are linked to a very important star in that role.

Federico Dimarco is a reported target for Arteta ahead of next summer, with Arsenal now planning on including €30 million cash plus Zinchenko to tempt Inter Milan into a deal. The Nerrazuri are not overly keen to sell their 26-year-old Serie A winner to Arsenal or anyone else, having already rejected Bayern Munich’s advances in the summer.

However, Inter Milan might consider a full cash offer worth around €60 million to consider Dimarco’s future. As things stand, they consider the 26-year-old Serie A winner a key component of their team and how they want to play under Simone Inzaghi. Only time will tell whether the Gunners are successful and if their formula is even a real idea.

Real Madrid keen on Dimarco

Apart from Arsenal, Real Madrid are reportedly keen on Dimarco ahead of next summer. The Spanish giants wanted a new left-back this summer, with Alphonso Davies their top target. Now, they are pushing to sign the Bayern Munich left-back on a free and setting sights on Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold on a Bosman transfer

If they fail to land Davies next summer, they have alternative targets to consider, and Dimarco might fall into that category. Considering the money they will have to spend to sign the Inter Milan star, Florentino Perez will likely push for the Canadian and save on capital.
