Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich keen on William Saliba

European giants Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich are keen on signing Arsenal defensive mainstay William Saliba.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Arsenal will find it quite difficult to keep hold of William Saliba who is on the wishlist of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. All three clubs are closely monitoring the French international who has established himself as one of the best young defenders in the world.

Saliba made quite a name for himself while coming up the ranks at Saint-Étienne and he secured a move to the North London club back in the summer of 2019. He stayed at the French club for another season before moving to the Premier League.

To ensure, he had regular first-team action to continue his development, he had a few loan spells away from the club in the initial years. But, Saliba has been one of their go-to man at the back in recent seasons. At just 23, he is already a mainstay at Arsenal and his impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed.

European giants keen on signing Saliba

The French international is on the radar of Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich. All three clubs have been monitoring him ahead of a potential transfer next summer.

Los Blancos are always on the lookout for players who can further bolster their squad and Saliba has the potential to be one of their galaticos. With David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger on the wrong side of 30, he could be an ideal signing for the Spanish giants.

However, the Madrid-based club will face competition from Bayern Munich and PSG. The Ligue 1 giants are keen on having the best French players in their squad and they do have the financial strength to lure him away from Arsenal.

As far as the German giants are concerned, they want to add more depth and quality at the back and Saliba could be a great signing for the short as well as the long run.

Arsenal unwilling to sanction Saliba’s departure

The 23-year-old still has three years left on his deal at Arsenal which means they are under no pressure to negotiate his departure. Given how important he is to Mikel Arteta’s team, it is hard to imagine they could consider selling him for any price.

But, the report suggests any interested club would have to present a crazy offer to strike a deal with the Gunners, a fee in excess of €120 million could do the trick. Arsenal might not want to sell but the player will surely find it difficult to turn down the opportunity to play for a few of those clubs.
