Fabrizio Romano rules out Aurelien Tchouameni Real Madrid exit amid Arsenal links

Fabrizio Romano has ruled out the possibility of Real Madrid selling Aurelien Tchouameni after reports linked the midfielder to Arsenal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Aurelien Tchouameni will not leave Real Madrid next summer as the player is crucial to their plans. Reports emerged stating the Spanish giants were ready to offload the France international amid links to Arsenal and other clubs.

Real Madrid not interested in Tchouameni’s sale

Aurelien Tchouameni has had difficulties breaking into this Real Madrid side, and now he is one of their critical stars, especially after the departure of Toni Kroos. Carlo Ancelotti and president Florentino Perez rate him highly, which is precisely why they decided to invest a considerable fee in securing his signature two years ago.

There were reports that Real Madrid were open to selling Tchouameni next summer amid heavy links to Arsenal and others. The truth is that the 24-year-old Real Madrid mainstay will have a huge market if he leaves the Santiago Bernabeu next summer.

Moreover, they are linked with a sensational move for Manchester City’s Rodri ahead of next summer. Signing the Spanish international from the Premier League champions will represent a big challenge in itself. But a move cannot be ruled out based on the current understanding of the situation.

Rodri is open to signing a new deal at Manchester City, although that may not prevent Real Madrid from entering the chase. If he comes on board, Tchouameni will be worried about his game time, as Rodri certainly will be guaranteed a starting role. However, for now, Real Madrid are not keen on a sale of the Frenchman, although things can always dramatically change.

Aurelien Tchouameni stance is a big blow to Arsenal

Arsenal might enter the window next summer looking for a top-draw midfielder, as there could be further changes to that area of Mikel Arteta’s squad. Tchouameni had been a target for the Gunners before he joined Real Madrid, and if he were made available, the north Londoners would undoubtedly have pushed to come in front of the queue.

The Gunners could see the end of stars like Jorginho and Thomas Partey, as Tchouameni was seen more as a replacement for the latter. Despite Romano claiming that Real Madrid will not sell the 24-year-old, things could change later depending on whether the Rodri rumours are true and the midfielder’s performances over the course of the current campaign.
