According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Viktor Gyokeres dreams of joining Real Madrid when he leaves Sporting CP. The 26-year-old goal machine is one of the most highly sought-after players in the market, and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is open to launching the offensive to sign him from the Portuguese club.
The rapid rise of Viktor Gyokeres
Viktor Gyokeres has established himself as one of the best strikers in the world since joining Sporting CP from Coventry City in July 2023. The move went under the radar 12 months ago but has been a stroke of genius from the Portuguese giants, as they have unearthed a goal machine.
The 26-year-old was unstoppable in the 2023/24 season, scoring goals for fun while also providing over a dozen assists. Gyokeres has continued from where left off last term, as he has already contributed to ten goals in only five games thus far in the 2024/25 campaign by finding the back of the net seven times and providing three assists.
The Sweden international has also been on fire this week, providing two assists and scoring one goal in his country’s 3-1 win over Azerbaijan in the UEFA Nations League. However, moving to the Santiago Bernabeu might not be a sensible decision for the Swede.
