Real Madrid determined to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold

Real Madrid are eager to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold next year, which could add pressure on Liverpool to sort out his future.

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid are determined to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold next summer on a free transfer. Florentino Perez has earmarked the 25-year-old Liverpool star as a critical addition to his plans, which also include a host of top players of ‘Galactico’ pedigree.

Real Madrid want Trent Alexander-Arnold

Real Madrid have a tremendous track record in the transfer market, and when they come knocking, more often than not they get the desired player. In the past, many renowned stars have rejected big moves to the Premier League or within it to join the Spanish giants, as they hope to make an impression on Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of next summer.

Real Madrid have been quietly working to sign Alexander-Arnold on a Bosman move next summer, considering the 25-year-old Liverpool star has already entered the final year of his deal at Anfield. Florentino Perez has big plans for next summer, as he plans to add a host of top-rated stars to his already glittering squad.

Manchester City’s Rodri is a target, which could see the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni sold, whole Bayern Minich man Alphonso Davies is also a potential free arrival next summer. Real Madrid needs two new full-backs and could see the duo of Alexander-Arnold and Davies as those additions. Meanwhile, they are also keen to add Erling Haaland, with the striker reportedly likely to push for a move to the Bernabeu

The signing of Alexander-Arnold would prove extremely testing for Real Madrid as Liverpool are making progress in contract talks. The Merseysiders do not want to lose the 25-year-old, who is one of their top players, as the new contract offer could reflect his importance in the team.

Liverpool under pressure

Liverpool will come under tremendous pressure to offer a top-notch contract in a bid to retain Alexander-Arnold. Real Madrid are likely to step up their interest in bringing the 25-year-old, which could add to the pressure on the Reds to keep the right-back.

This transfer story has the ingredients to turn into a saga, as Liverpool will hope Alexander-Arnold stays put at Merseyside for years to come. However, the opportunity to join Real Madrid and the galaxy of star players may not arrive again for Alexander-Arnold, which might influence his future decision.
