Casemiro is expected to remain at Manchester United until 2025, despite recent rumours linking him with a move to Galatasaray.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Casemiro will not be parting ways with Manchester United in the coming days. While the Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a move away from the club following his poor start to the season, he is all set to stay until 2025.
The Brazilian international made the move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2022 after winning it all with Real Madrid. He had a sensational debut season at the English club but the 32-year-old has been able to reach the expected levels over the last 12 months.
While the fans were hoping for a comeback from the former Real Madrid superstar, he has had a horror start to the 2024/25 season. Erik ten Hag was forced to take him off at half-time in their recent 3-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool. The Reds scored twice in the first half, and Casemiro gave away the ball in both instances.
Casemiro won’t be joining Galatasaray
His poor start to the season and the Red Devils’ deadline day purchase of Manuel Ugarte has resulted in a lot of question marks over the future of the São Paulo graduate. While he still has two years left on his deal, the Brazilian international has been linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The Turkish champions have already signed Victor Osimhen on a season-long loan and are reportedly looking to make another big-name signing in the centre of the park. With the window in Turkiye open until 13th September, Gala are keen on his services but Romano has ruled out the move.
The Italian transfer expert has suggested that Casemiro will continue at the club at least until 2025 despite being linked to the Turkish club. He has no intentions of leaving the club at this stage. While reports have suggested that Okan Buruk’s team are making moves to sign him, Romano has made it clear that Gala have not had any concrete talks to sign him.
Despite his poor performance against Liverpool, Erik ten Hag has suggested that he trusts the Brazilian and hopes that he will bounce back. Meanwhile, with Ugarte coming in, Casemiro’s game time could be severely affected.
