Fenerbahce eyeing loan move for Antony

Fenerbahce are plotting a loan move for Manchester United winger Antony in the final days of their transfer window.

According to a report from Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce are looking to further bolster their attack in the final days of their transfer window. They are all set to knock on the doors of their manager’s former club Manchester United as they look to acquire the services of Antony.

The Turkish giants are looking to secure his services on a temporary basis. They are keen on a potential loan deal and are looking to strike a deal with the Red Devils in the coming days.

Antony made a name for himself while playing for Ajax under Erik ten Hag. The Dutch manager requested the signing of the Brazilian forward upon his arrival at Old Trafford. United forked out £85.5 million to sign the 24-year-old in the summer of 2022.

Unfortunately, the move has not gone according to plan for both parties. The player has struggled to get going at Manchester United, and he has slowly gone down the pecking order. Last season, he was involved in 29 league games but could only manage to contribute towards two goals.

Ten Hag is a huge admirer of the Brazilian, but it seems Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo are all ahead of him in the pecking order this time out. Antony has been on the pitch for just one minute in the new campaign.

Antony to Fenerbahce?

While the transfer window is closed for Europe’s top five leagues, it still remains open in quite a few top countries. As a result, the 24-year-old could still be on the move in the coming days.

With the transfer window in Turkiye open until the 13th of September, Fenerbahce are looking to give Antony a way out of Old Trafford. They want to secure his services on a temporary basis as Jose Mourinho looks to add more firepower to his ranks.

The European regulars are looking to strike a deal as soon as possible and are making moves to secure an agreement with the Red Devils regarding a loan move. A move to the Turkish giants could help the 24-year-old revive himself and on top of that, he will have the opportunity to learn under the guidance of one of the best managers of the modern era.
