Real Madrid are all set to take a back seat in the race for the services of Franco Mastantuono amidst interest from Barcelona and Manchester United.
According to a report from Fichajes, Real Madrid have decided against making a move for the services of Franco Mastantuono. The South American attacking sensation finds himself on the wishlist of quite a few top clubs, and Los Blancos are one of them. While they have been keen on signing him, the Spanish giants have chosen to withdraw from negotiations as certain factors have complicated the purchase.
Mastantuono has come up the ranks at River Plate, and his impressive performances for their youth team and senior side have not gone unnoticed. Multiple top clubs have been monitoring the teenager who was promoted to their first team at the start of the year, and they are looking to prise him away from the Argentine club.
Just months after getting promoted to their senior team, the 17-year-old attacking midfielder penned down a new deal with River Plate which runs until the end of 2026. While they did manage to secure his future for a few more years, top clubs are expected to knock on the Argentine club’s door in the near future.
