Crystal Palace have completed the signing of striker Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal in a £30 million agreement, including add-ons.
Crystal Palace have announced the signing of Eddie Nketiah on a permanent transfer from Arsenal. The Eagles will pay a fee of £30 million, including add-ons for the striker, which will be seen as a tremendous deal from a Gunners’ perspective.

It was an essential window for Crystal Palace, where they hoped to build a better squad than the one that finished last season on a high. They did lose a star player like Michael Olise, but Oliver Glasner has done an excellent job alongside the club’s transfer team to get quality players in.
The biggest worry was with losing three of their top players in the same window with Olise, Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi. Fortunately, Palace only lost the Frenchman while managing to keep hold of the other two, which is fantastic news for the club.
When it comes to additions, Eddie Nketiah becomes the latest to go through the door at Selhurst Park as he could straight away come into Glasner’s plans. The striker had a good time at the very top with Arsenal, helping them in essential moments over the years and making 168 senior appearances in all competitions for the Gunners.
At Palace, the 25-year-old homegrown player will hope to become a key cog under Glasner, and play as an essential player rather than as a backup. Palace have also offloaded Odsonne Edouard to Leicester City today, which does free up space to integrate Nketiah into the squad.
Nketiah sale good business for Arsenal
Arsenal have managed to sell Nketiah for a £30 million package, which includes £25 million in fixed fees and the rest £5 million in add-ons. It’s a good deal for the Gunners, who can count that money as pure profit as the 25-year-old homegrown player is an academy talent.
They have made similar deals this summer with Fulham signing Emile Smith-Rowe in a deal rising to £34 million, while Aaron Ramsdale has also left for Southampton. Reiss Nelson is also in talks to sign with Fulham beyond the transfer deadline using a deal sheet, as that is expected to go through.
