Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on signing 25-year-old Arsenal homegrown striker Eddie Nketiah this summer.
According to an update by reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Crystal Palace have now established contact with Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah regarding a potential move, and the player is open to joining them, as per a separate update by Romano.
Nketiah does not have a future at Arsenal, and he needs to leave to play regularly. A move to Crystal Palace could be ideal for him. Arsenal are prepared to sanction his departure this summer, and a deal is on the cards. Palace need more cutting edge in the final third. Signing a goalscorer would be a wise decision for them.
The talented striker has shown his quality during his cameos with Arsenal, and he has scored 38 goals for the club during his time in north London. There is no doubt that he could be a key player for the Eagles if he joins them. He will add goals and cutting edge to their attack.
Arsenal need a quality striker as well, and it will be interesting to see if the Gunners can use the proceeds from his departure and use the funds to bring in a new signing. Gabriel Jesus was quite underwhelming last season, and the Brazilian scored just four goals in the league. They will need to improve in that department if they want to win major trophies. Arsenal need a reliable finisher in their ranks.
Nketiah needs to leave
The Arsenal homegrown forward needs a fresh start right now. He cannot continue to sit on the bench at a big club at this stage of his career. The Englishman will look to fulfil his tremendous potential in the coming seasons, and joining Crystal Palace would be ideal for him. He was also linked with Nottingham Forest, but a move has collapsed.
The Eagles have showed improvement under Oliver Glasner, and they will look to push for a top half finish this season. They have put together a talented squad, and signing a quality striker could wrap up an excellent window for them.
Crystal Palace could provide Nketiah will regular football in the Premier League and it could help him improve further. If he manages to do well for them, he might get opportunities to join a big club in the future.
