Juventus re-establish contact with Jadon Sancho

Juventus have reignited their interest in the services of Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho in the final days of the transfer window.

Juventus are looking to reinforce their attack before the end of the transfer window. They want to add more firepower on the flanks and according to a report from Calciomercato, the Old Lady have re-established contacts to sign Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho, although his €20 million-a-year wages pose a problem.

Sancho had a rift with Erik ten Hag at the start of last season, which resulted in him being exiled from the first team for the first half of the season. He was sent back to Borussia Dortmund on a short loan. The English international managed to revive himself with consistent performances for the German giants.

Following his return to Old Trafford, he even played a part in the pre-season under Ten Hag. But, Sancho was not involved in their first league fixture, and he did not even make the squad in their recent defeat to Brighton. While he still has two years left on his deal along with an option to extend it for another 12 months, he does not seem to be a part of the Dutch manager’s plans.

Juventus pushing to sign Jadon Sancho

The Red Devils would love to cash in on him after having forked out around €85 million to sign him in 2021. But they cannot find an ideal buyer who are willing to meet their demands. Juventus have emerged as a potential destination in recent days.

The Turin-based club are looking to add Sancho to their squad before the end of the window. With Federico Chiesa expected to be on the move, Thiago Motta is looking for a world-class winger and they seem ready to bet on the former Dortmund star.

The Old Lady have been monitoring his situation, and they are ready to sign him on loan. Their directors have re-established contacts with the player’s agent as they look to bring him to the club.

While they are keen on signing him, his massive €20 million-a-year deal will make things difficult. They could look at Manchester United for some help. If Sancho is not in the plans of Ten Hag, it will be in the best interest of both parties to let him go out on another loan.
