Saudi Pro League confident of landing Mohamed Salah next summer

Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah is reportedly a target for Saudi Arabian clubs, although a move might only materialise next summer.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Saudi Pro League chiefs are optimistic of signing 31-year-old Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah on a free transfer in next summer’s transfer window.

Salah was a target for Saudi Arabian clubs last summer as well, and they were willing to submit a £150 million offer for him. Liverpool were not interested in selling him back then, but they are under pressure now.

The player will be out of contract next summer, and Saudi clubs are hoping to sign him on a Bosman move. The 31-year-old has helped Liverpool win major trophies, including the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League title. His departure will certainly be a devastating blow for the club, and it remains to be seen with the Liverpool can replace him adequately.

The 31-year-old is likely to be handed a monstrous contract in Saudi Arabia, and it will not be a surprise if the player is tempted to join them. Even though Salah is at the peak of his powers, a move to Saudi Arabia would not be surprising given the kind of names they have managed to attract in recent seasons.

Ideally, the Egyptian could look to stay in the Premier League and compete at the highest level. He will have plenty of opportunities to move to Saudi Arabia or the MLS in the near future. He is a world-class player who deserves to compete at the highest level for now.

Liverpool should look to convince Salah to sign an extension

Liverpool will certainly hope that they can convince Salah to sign an extension with the club so that he does not leave for free next summer. Salah has spent seven seasons at the club, and he has established himself as one of the best attackers in the Premier League history. However, he could achieve a lot more if he continues at Anfield. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

There is no doubt that the 31-year-old is one of the best players in Liverpool history, and replacing him will be a massive challenge for the club. It remains to be seen how they fill the void left by him next summer if he decides to move to Saudi Arabia.
