Fabrizio Romano rubbishes Barcelona links with Jadon Sancho, Juventus hold positive personal terms talk

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has been linked with a move away from the club this summer, with Juventus interested.

Jadon Sancho was on loan at Borussia Dortmund during the second half of last season, and he was quite impressive for the German club. He helped them reach the UEFA Champions League final, and he is expected to be sold permanently this summer. According to Caught Offside, the 24-year-old has been linked with Barcelona, but Fabrizio Romano has now rubbished those links.

He said, “Despite the reports, there are no updates on Jadon Sancho and Barca so far. There are several other opportunities on the market and Barca will take some days to decide, so we will wait and see what’s going to happen there.”

Juventus are keen on the player as well, and they have held positive talks with him regarding a potential move, as per an update by Sky Sports. It will be interesting to see where Sancho ends up.

The England international joined Manchester United for a fee of around £73 million, and he was expected to develop into a world-class player for them. However, Sancho never quite managed to get going in the Premier League, and he fell out of favour with manager Erik ten Hag as well.

It is evident that he needs to move on to play regularly, and joining clubs like Juventus or Barcelona would be ideal. They are two of the biggest clubs in the world, and they could provide him with the platform to showcase his abilities at a high level and push for trophies regularly.

Manchester United need to cash in on Jadon Sancho

Manchester United will look to cut their losses on him and recoup some money from his departure. They will need to improve their squad in the wide areas. The Red Devils are lacking a quality winger, and it remains to be seen whether they can sort out Sancho’s future and invest in a quality alternative.

Sancho will be looking to play regularly at the stage of his career, and he must seek game time assurances before completing a transfer away from Manchester United, who want around £40 million to part ways with him this summer.

The Red Devils missed out on Champions League qualification last season, and they will look to bounce back strongly this term. A club of their stature is expected to win major trophies as well. They have done some impressive transfer business this summer, and it remains to be seen whether they can wrap up the window strongly.
