According to a report by Graeme Bailey on HITC, Kieran Trippier is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are keen on signing a right-back before the summer transfer window shuts down. The wantaway Newcastle United full-back has thus emerged as a target for the Merseyside club, with the Magpies demanding around £20 million to part ways with him.
Kieran Trippier and his Newcastle United journey
Kieran Trippier has been one of the best full-backs in the Premier League since joining Newcastle United from Atletico Madrid in January 2022. The Englishman was struggling to stamp his authority before his spell with Los Rojiblancos as Diego Simeone brought the best out of him and resurrected his fortunes.
The 33-year-old has been a regular for his club and country in the last few years. Trippier has turned out nearly 100 times thus far for Newcastle United while chipping in with four goals and 21 assists. However, the veteran full-back has played his final game for the Tyneside outfit.
While Eddie Howe has feigned ignorance and suggested all is right between the two parties, Trippier has asked Newcastle United to sell him before the summer transfer window shuts down. The England international is not happy with his situation, especially after losing the captaincy to Bruno Guimaraes. Meanwhile, he does not have a shortage of suitors, with Everton joining the race to secure his services.
