Arsenal academy graduate Eddie Nketiah is closing in on a move to Nottingham Forest as personal terms have been agreed.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Eddie Nketiah is keen on joining Nottingham Forest before the end of the transfer window. The Arsenal academy star has already agreed on personal terms with the Tricky Trees, who are closing in on an agreement with the North London club.
Eddie Nketiah made the move to Arsenal in 2015 from Chelsea, and he has not looked back since. In just four years’ time, he was promoted to the Gunners’ first team. While he has been an important squad player for them, he has not been able to establish himself as a regular under Mikel Arteta.
The 25-year-old striker has grown frustrated because of the lack of regular first-team action. Despite having three years left on his deal at the club, Eddie Nketiah wants to leave. The Englishman was closing in on joining Marseille. But unfortunately, the move did not go through as both clubs could not reach a common ground.
Nottingham Forest, who are looking to add more firepower to their attack identified the opportunity and went ahead with an initial offer of £25 million. But it was turned down by the Gunners, who want £30-35 million for their star.
Negotiation between the two clubs continues. However, it seems the Tricky Trees have taken a major step towards signing Nketiah as they have agreed on personal terms with the young English striker.

Apart from agreeing on personal terms with the player, Nottingham Forest are in advanced talks with the Gunners to complete his signing. They are confident about getting it over the line and according to a report from The Athletic, both clubs are close to agreeing on a transfer fee for the 25-year-old.
While there is a significant difference between Nottingham Forest’s initial offer and Arsenal’s valuation, negotiations are moving in the right direction. And if everything goes according to plan both teams could soon reach a common ground. With personal terms already in place, Nketiah could be on his way to Nottingham Forest before the end of the window.
