Liverpool receive multiple offers for Stefan Bajcetic

Liverpool have received multiple offers for midfielder Stefan Bajcetic, although Arne Slot has yet to decide on his future.

According to Football Insider, Stefan Bajcetic has plenty of offers in the market should Liverpool decide to offload him. The Reds had considered a loan exit for the 19-year-old prodigy, although Arne Slot has yet to make his mind up, as a new midfield signing could see the young star leave.

Liverpool have many offers for Stefan Bajcetic

Liverpool fans are still bemused by Martin Zubimendi’s rejection of a move to Anfield in favour of staying at Real Sociedad. Had that move panned out, Arne Slot might have made rapid changes to his midfield options, including offloading a few of his current stars.

After rejecting a bid from Marseille for Wataru Endo, the Japanese international is staying put for the time being until Liverpool can sign a new midfielder. The same goes for Stefan Bajcetic, as the club was ready to loan him out after an injury-ravaged campaign last time.

Bajcetic broke into the Liverpool first team during the 2022-23 season, playing 11 times for Jurgen Klopp during that campaign. He missed most of the 2023-24 campaign with a severe calf injury, and the club hold big hopes for his future, which could indicate they are unwilling to offload him.

They have plenty of offers for the midfielder in the current market, with reported interest from at least three Spanish sides. Liverpool will only offload him if they bring another midfielder before the window shuts, meaning there’s a big chance for the 19-year-old prodigy to stay at Anfield for the coming season.

Arne Slot is yet to decide Bajcetic’s future

Much like others at the club, Arne Slot rates Bajcetic relatively highly and would want to work with the young midfielder. Whether he wants that in the present climate remains to be seen, as Liverpool are still looking for a new holding midfielder before the window shuts.

If the 19-year-old prodigy stays for the current season, there are no guarantees he will get plenty of minutes, as Bajcetic is still behind in the pecking order. However, the player changed Klopp’s mind two years ago and could do the same with Arne Slot, as he will be a bit-part player at best for the current campaign.
