According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Ademola Lookman is the subject of interest from Liverpool. The Reds are weighing up a late move for the Atalanta attacker as they look to complete their first signing of the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Arsenal are also “informed on the situation” surrounding the 26-year-old versatile forward.

Ademola Lookman has resurrected his stuttering career since joining Atalanta from RB Leipzig in August 2022. A native of London, he spent his formative years in England and represented the country in age-group football but has chosen Nigeria as his national side.
As for Lookman’s career at the club level, he rose in prominence during his spell with Charlton Athletic before Everton snapped him in January 2017. However, the 26-year-old attacker’s spell with the Merseyside outfit did not work as well as he would have liked. The player struggled for stability and relevance for several years before joining Atalanta two years ago.
Since then, the Nigerian international has come leaps and bounds, establishing himself as one of the best attackers in Serie A. Lookman was exceptional last season, contributing to 27 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net 17 times and providing ten assists. He also scored the match-winning hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final, with his exploits alerting Liverpool and Arsenal.

Liverpool’s interest in Ademola Lookman is understandable. The Reds are keen on signing a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term futures of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Luis Diaz. So, Lookman is a viable target for Liverpool.
As for Arsenal, the report has claimed that intermediaries are keeping them in the loop on Ademola Lookman’s situation. The productive attacker can be a top-notch addition to the Arsenal squad due to his ability to play across the frontline.
