Manchester United have reportedly submitted an official offer to sign 24-year-old Dutch-born Turkish international Ferdi Kadioglu from Fenerbahce this summer.
According to a report by Turkish outlet Sporx, Ferdi Kadioglu is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils have lodged an official bid to sign the 24-year-old utility man in the summer transfer window. Brighton & Hove Albion have also submitted an offer. However, the Red Devils have made a higher proposal to land the Fenerbahce full-back.
Ferdi Kadioglu and his rise
Ferdi Kadioglu has seen his stock soar since joining Fenerbahce from NEC Nijmegen in July 2018. A native of Arnhem, the Dutch-born utility man spent his formative years in the Netherlands. He also represented the Netherlands in age-group football but has picked Turkiye as his national side.
The 24-year-old has turned out over 200 times thus far for Fenerbahce while chipping in with 18 goals and 22 assists. Kadioglu has been an asset for the Turkish giants due to his ability to play as a full-back on both flanks and a holding midfielder. Meanwhile, the player’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe.
The Premier League might be Ferdi Kadioglu’s next destination. Widespread reports have linked the Turkish international with English bigwigs like Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. However, Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion are the prospective suitors for him.

Manchester United’s interest in Ferdi Kadioglu is understandable. While the Red Devils have signed the versatile Noussair Mazraoui, they should invest in a recognised left-back. The latest reports have revealed that Tyrell Malacia might miss another season due to his crippling fitness situation.
In addition, Luke Shaw’s injury woes are not going away anytime soon. So, Kadioglu has emerged as a viable target for Manchester United. The Red Devils have submitted an official offer to sign the 24-year-old Dutch-born utility man from Fenerbahce. Brighton & Hove Albion have also lodged a bid to land Kadioglu.
However, Manchester United’s offer to secure Ferdi Kadioglu’s services is higher than Brighton’s proposal. So, it will be interesting to see if the Red Devils can beat their fellow Premier League club to the Turkish international.
