La Liga trio are interested in acquiring the services of Liverpool’s teenage defensive midfielder Stefan Bajcetic.
According to a report from Fichajes, Liverpool are considering parting ways with their Spanish midfield prospect Stefan Bajcetic. The youngster is unlikely to get much game time under Arne Slot next season and the Reds seem open to sending him out on loan.
Bajcetic was a part of the Celta Vigo youth ranks before he ended up joining the Premier League giants in the winter of 2021. He went up the ranks at some pace and was promoted to their first team in the summer of 2022.
The 19-year-old defensive midfielder has made significant progress since making his debut for the senior side but injuries have been a major hurdle for him. Despite all that he has done in recent seasons, Bajcetic is unlikely to have an important role under Arne Slot next season.
While they do count on him for the long run, his short-term future at the club is not certain yet. With the window heading into the final weeks, the Reds are considering sending the teenager out on loan. They feel sending the Spanish youth international out on loan will help both parties, he will get regular first-team action and return to Anfield stronger than before.
La Liga clubs want Stefan Bajcetic
Three clubs from Spain are keen on signing Bajcetic on a season-long loan. His former club Celta Vigo is one of them. They want to bring their academy product back to the club and feel he could strengthen their midfield significantly.
Meanwhile, Sevilla have also shown a significant amount of interest in the youngster. They want to add more quality to their team and feel reinforcing the centre of the park could help their cause. Bajcetic could be a sensational signing for them as he can feature in midfield as well as full-back.
Apart from Celta and Sevilla, Valencia are also in the mix. They have been monitoring the youngster for some time and could soon knock on the doors of the Reds to sign him on loan.
While the Spanish clubs are quite keen on his signature, Liverpool’s final decision will depend on what they do in the remaining days of the window. If they do not reinforce their midfield, there are chances of Bajcetic staying and playing an important role in the first team.
