Tottenham are considering making a move for the services of Juventus midfield star Manuel Locatelli before the transfer deadline.
Tottenham have been quite effective in the transfer window in recent weeks and are looking to take things to the next level in the three remaining weeks. According to a report from Juvelive, the North London club are considering pushing for the services of Italian midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
While things didn’t work out for Locatelli at AC Milan, he managed to revive his career at Sampdoria. His consistent performances earned him a move to Juventus in the summer of 2021. It was a two-year-long loan move which became permanent in 2023.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder was an integral part of their first team in the initial years. But, of late things haven’t been that great for him and he is not expected to be a regular starter under Thiago Motta. While he still has four years left on his deal, his future has been up in the air.
There is interest in his services from Tottenham and they do have a realistic chance of signing him. Juventus’ recent policy regarding player transfers is quite well-known, no player on their squad is unsellable. If they receive the right bid, they are willing to sell anyone and then look for a replacement.
The North London club have recently completed the signing of Dominic Solanke for a club-record fee from Bournemouth. His arrival has significantly bolstered their attack and now they have shifted their focus towards reinforcing their midfield.
Tottenham to submit €24 million offer for Locatelli
Tottenham have their eye on Locatelli and they have every intention of bringing him to the Premier League. He could be a great replacement for Pierre-Emile Højbjerg who recently left the club.
With his place in the team, not a certainty, the Italian international can surely consider moving to a top club in the Premier League with Spurs pushing for his signature.
They are ready to table an offer worth €24 million plus bonuses to convince Juventus to part ways with their star. The report suggests Locatelli could be on his way out if Spurs actually do submit the offer.
