Wilfried Zaha reaches agreement with Crystal Palace, deal close

Wilfried Zaha has been linked with a return to the Premier League, and it seems that he is close to securing an agreement with Crystal Palace.

According to reliable Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Crystal Palace are close to bringing Wilfried Zaha back to the Premier League, and they have already secured an agreement regarding personal terms.

It will be interesting to see if they can secure an agreement with Galatasaray now. The Turkish outfit are prepared to send him out on loan this summer, but affording his wages could be a problem for the South London club.

Crystal Palace need more quality and attacking depth in the side, which is why they have set their sights on Zaha. They have sanctioned the departure of Michael Olise to Bayern Munich this summer. The Eagles will need to replace his quality and end product. Zaha would be a superb acquisition for them.

The 31-year-old has played for the club in the past, and he knows them well. He will be able to settle in quickly and make an instant instant impact. The player is a proven performer in the Premier League as well. The opportunity to return to England will be quite attractive for the mercurial forward, and he will hope that the two clubs can secure an agreement quickly.

Crystal Palace need more attacking quality

Crystal Palace showed great improvement under Oliver Glasner towards the end of last season. The Eagles will be looking to push for a top half finish this time around. They will need to plug the weaknesses in their squad, and signing a quality winger will be one of their priorities.

Zaha would be a readymade replacement for Olise, and he could improve them instantly. He was one of the best wingers in the Premier League before he left Crystal Palace, and he will look to get back to that level once again.

Even though he is 31, he is very much at the peak of his powers, and he could make a big difference for Crystal Palace. Zaha would be a short-term acquisition for the London club, and signing him on loan would be ideal for them.
