Sofyan Amrabat prepared to give up Manchester United dream and join Fenerbahce

Sofyan Amrabat is ready to give up the dream of joining Manchester United and accept a move to José Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.

Sofyan Amrabat is dreaming of returning to Premier League giants Manchester United. But according to a report from HITC, the Fiorentina midfielder is all set to give up on his dream and instead join Fenerbahce, who are all set for their first season under the guidance of Jose Mourinho.

Amrabat had an exceptional World Cup 2022 with Morocco, and his performances at the global event had put him on the wishlist of multiple top clubs. On the back of his consistent performances for both club and country, quite a few clubs wanted to sign him last summer.

Eventually, he ended up making the move to Old Trafford on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy. While he did manage to impress Erik ten Hag with his work ethic in training, Amrabat did not really have the best of times on the pitch for Manchester United apart from the final of the FA Cup against Manchester City.

While they decided against triggering the purchase option in his loan deal, Manchester United remain interested in him as they look to reinforce their midfielder. Amrabat is back at his parent club, but he does not have a future at the Italian club. With just 12 months left on his deal, Fiorentina are ready to cash in on the 27-year-old defensive midfielder.

Amrabat could join Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce

Manchester United are one of the interested clubs, but he is just a backup option for them. They have quite a few names on their wishlist and won’t make a move for the Moroccan international unless they do not have any other options left.

While Amrabat is keen on once again playing for the Red Devils and establishing himself in their first team, he seems ready to drop his dream move amidst interest from Fenerbahce.

Jose Mourinho has recently taken charge of the Turkish club, and he has already signed quite a few top stars. The Fenerbahce board are backing the Portuguese manager in the transfer window, and he now wants to sign the former Manchester United loanee. While he dreams of a return to Old Trafford, Amrabat is open to a move to Turkey to join Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, who might have to fork out around £17 million for his services.
