Liverpool, Newcastle United, Tottenham tracking Joachim Andersen

Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Tottenham are all interested in the services of Crystal Palace centre-back Joachim Andersen.

According to a report from Caught Offside, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur are all closely monitoring Joachim Andersen’s situation at Crystal Palace. All three Premier League clubs are keen on bolstering their backline, and they have identified the Danish international defender as a potential target for the summer.

Andersen joined the Eagles back in the summer of 2021 from Lyon after an impressive loan spell at Fulham. Since moving to Crystal Palace, the Dane has been a constant feature for them at the back and has racked up over 110 appearances.

Last season, Joachim Andersen was involved in each of their 38 Premier League games. The Danish international has been a rock at the back, and his performances have not gone unnoticed. While he still has two years left on his contract, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Tottenham could look to prise him away from Crystal Palace.

English giants keen on Joachim Andersen

Joel Matip left Liverpool upon the expiry of his contract, and the Reds have not signed a replacement yet. In order to ensure Arne Slot’s team have enough depth at the back, they want to add an experienced centre-back to the mix, and Andersen seems to be an ideal fit for them.

Eddie Howe also seeks more depth at the back, and Andersen’s consistent performances have put him on their radar. While the Magpies as well as the Reds are also pushing for the services of his teammate Marc Guehi, pushing for the 28-year-old seems to be a much better alternative financially.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are also in the mix as Ange Postecoglou wants to sign another centre-back despite having made two quality additions to his team over the last two windows in Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin.

While Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Tottenham are interested in signing the Danish international and they have been monitoring him, it will be interesting to what stance Palace takes on his future. Since he is an integral part of their first team, they are unlikely to let him leave on the cheap.
