Sofyan Amrabat hopeful of rejoining Manchester United

Sofyan Amrabat has been linked with a move back to Manchester United this summer, and he hopes to return to Old Trafford.

Sofyan Amrabat was on loan at Manchester United last season. And the 27-year-old midfielder is hoping that the Red Devils will sign him permanently this summer, as per Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness.

The Moroccan international had an underwhelming spell at Manchester United. But he remains a quality player who has proven himself for his club and country. In addition, he showed his potential in the final weeks of the 2023/24 season. He could be a useful addition for the Red Devils if they decide to bring him back.

It is fair to assume that Amrabat will have gained valuable experience from playing for Manchester United last season, and he will be able to adapt to the Premier League better this time around.

Manchester United need more quality and depth in the midfield department, and it remains to be seen what they decide. Amrabat would be a useful squad option for them if they can sign him for a reasonable price.

Can Amrabat regain his peak form?

Sofyan Amrabat was a key player for his country during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and he helped Morocco reach the semi-finals of the tournament. He impressed with his work ethic, defensive contribution, physicality and robustness. Manchester United could certainly use those qualities in the Premier League as well.

The 27-year-old never really managed to get in the groove last season, and it will be interesting to see if he can turn things around. He does not have a future at Serie A club Fiorentina, and it is no surprise that he is waiting for the Red Devils to return for him.

Manchester United will be hoping to fight for major trophies next season. They will need to improve their squad this summer, and signing a quality central midfielder should be one of their priorities.

Amrabat will add drive and physicality to the side if he can regain his form and momentum. Manchester United should look to invest in a quality defensive midfielder as well. Other European clubs are keen on Amrabat as well, and it remains to be seen where he ends up eventually.
