The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and he is unlikely to be a regular starter for them next season. It makes sense for him to move on in search of regular playing time.
West Ham United need to bring in defensive reinforcements, and the former Crystal Palace star could be the ideal acquisition for them.
