Everton, West Ham United submit offers to sign Tammy Abraham

Everton and West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing 26-year-old English attacker Tammy Abraham from Serie A club AS Roma in the summer transfer window.

According to Italian journalist Marco Demicheli, as relayed by Radio Rossonera, Everton and West Ham United are vying for the signature of Tammy Abraham. The two Premier League clubs have submitted their offers to sign the 26-year-old attacker. However, the AS Roma striker wants to move within Serie A in the summer transfer window, with AC Milan his preferred destination.

How has Tammy Abraham fared at AS Roma?

Tammy Abraham has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining AS Roma from Chelsea in August 2021. The Englishman enjoyed an excellent debut season with the Giallorossi, playing his part as the Serie A giants won the UEFA Europa Conference League.

However, fitness issues and poor form have plagued the 26-year-old in the last two seasons. Abraham returned from a long-term knee injury in April and managed only 321 minutes of game time across 12 appearances in all competitions while chipping in with one goal and one assist.

The England international might have played his final game for AS Roma, with the Serie A giants ready to sell him in the summer transfer window. Abraham does not have a shortage of suitors pursuing his signature, with Everton and West Ham United keen on taking him back to the Premier League.

Premier League returns on the cards?

Everton’s interest in Tammy Abraham is understandable. The Toffees are in a spot of bother over the long-term futures of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto. So, it behoves Everton to invest in a striker, with Abraham emerging as a viable target, considering his previous experience in the Premier League.

As for West Ham, the Hammers are also scouring the market for a striker in the summer transfer window due to the advancing age of Michail Antonio and Danny Ings. So, Abraham is an option worth considering, with West Ham and the Toffees submitting offers to sign the 26-year-old AS Roma striker.

However, the Englishman prefers a move within Serie A, with Marco Demicheli revealing that he has given the green light to join AC Milan. So, Everton and West Ham United must look elsewhere to bolster their offensive departments in the summer transfer window.
