Bryan Gil set to seal Girona loan move

Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil is reportedly all set to join La Liga club Girona on a season-long loan deal this summer.

According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrízio Romano, Tottenham have agreed on a deal to send 23-year-old prospect Bryan Gil to La Liga club Girona for the upcoming campaign so that he can secure regular first-team football. The youngster will sign a new deal with Spurs with a €15 million release clause before leaving.

Gil was highly rated in Spanish football before he moved to Tottenham, but the move has not worked out for him. The Spaniard has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot, and he has had loan spells away from the club as well.

Gil needs regular game time

The Spanish prospect will look to get his career back on track with regular football now, and a return to his homeland would be ideal. Girona could provide him with the platform to showcase his abilities on a regular basis.

Ample first-team action in La Liga would be ideal for the player. Gil is still only 23, and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. He will have plenty of opportunities to get his career back on track. He needs to join a club where he will get regular opportunities.

Sitting on the bench at Tottenham is unlikely to benefit him, and it remains to be seen whether he can make the most of the loan spell. Meanwhile, Girona had a fantastic season in La Liga last year, and they have secured Champions league football for the upcoming campaign.

They could provide the 23-year-old with the opportunity to test himself in the Premier European competition. Ideally, Tottenham will look to get rid of him permanently, and the player will look to secure an exit from the club as well.

He will want to sort out his long-term future and focus on his football once again. It remains to be seen how the situation develops. He has been linked with other La Liga clubs as well, but nothing has materialised so far. It seems that the player is now set to seal a loan move to La Liga before the summer window closes.
