Aston Villa have tabled an offer worth €30 million to sign Besiktas teenage attacking sensation Semih Kilicsoy.
According to a report from Gunebakis, Aston Villa haven’t given up in their pursuit of the services of Semih Kilicsoy. Unai Emery’s team recently had a bid rejected at the hands of Besiktas but they have returned with a much-improved offer for the Turkish attacking sensation.
Kilicsoy has come up the ranks at Besiktas, he was promoted to their first team last summer. In his debut campaign for their senior team, the 18-year-old striker was involved in 35 matches and he ended up scoring 12 goals along and also bagged three assists.
His impressive performances helped him be a part of Turkiye’s squad for Euro 2024. While he might not have played much of a part at the continental tournament, Kilicsoy’s performances from the 2023/24 campaign had already put him on the radar of multiple top clubs from across Europe.
He still has four years left on his deal with the Turkish club but it seems he could be on the move this summer given the amount of interest in him. Aston Villa are one of the clubs who have been working hard to sign the youngster.
Aston Villa return with an improved offer
Unai Emery’s team are planning for the long run and they feel Kilicsoy could be an exceptional signing for them. The teenager is capable enough to pay as a number nine as well as on either flank which could do wonders for Villa in years to come.
They initially submitted a part-exchange offer worth €18 million along with the services of Alex Moreno and the option of keeping the teenager at Besiktas on a season-long loan. But, that offer was turned down without much thought.
Villa retained their interest in him despite the setback and have now returned with an improved offer. They have put forward a bid worth €30 million for the attacking sensation. While the Turkish club are yet to respond to the offer, Villa will be hoping for some good news having put forward a much better offer this time out.
