Real Madrid have been in contact with Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold’s entourage as they look to sign him this summer.
According to Christian Falk, Real Madrid are interested in acquiring the services of Trent Alexander-Arnold. They have been in contact with the Liverpool mainstay’s entourage for around a month and are looking to step up their interest in pursuit of his signature.
Alexander-Arnold has been a part of the Liverpool setup since his childhood days. He came up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their first team back in 2016. The Englishman has been an integral part of their first team and has played a big part in their UEFA Champions League and Premier League win under Jurgen Klopp.
Last season, Trent Alexander-Arnold contributed towards 12 goals in his 37 outings and even played a part in England’s impressive run at Euro 2024 that ended with a defeat in the final. With the UEFA European Championship now done and dusted, the player is expected to make a big decision regarding his future.
Real Madrid want Alexander-Arnold
Alexander-Arnold’s current deal with the Reds runs out in 12 months. While the Merseyside club are desperate to extend his stay, there has not been any significant development on that front. With a new deal not on the cards yet, Real Madrid are looking to prise him away from Anfield.
Los Blancos are looking to plan for the long run, with Dani Carvajal already 32 and Lucas Vazquez 33. While Carvajal seems to be at the peak of his powers, age will soon catch up to the Spanish international. Real Madrid want to prepare for the future and feel Alexander-Arnold could be an exceptional signing for them.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is only 25 and with his contract running out, Real Madrid do have a chance of bringing him to the Spanish capital. The team in white have a concrete interest in his signature, and they have been in contact with his representatives for a month now.
While Alexander-Arnold loves playing for his childhood club, he is interested in joining the most decorated club in the history of the Champions League. With his contract running out, Real Madrid do stand a chance of striking a deal. However, it will depend on how things pan out after he returns to Liverpool for pre-season training.
