Manchester United are seeking chances to offload their full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka amidst interest from West Ham United.
According to a report from GIVEMESPORT, Manchester United are willing to cash in on Aaron Wan-Bissaka ahead of next season. They are ready to part ways with the English full-back and are waiting to see if they do get the right opportunity to move him on.
Wan-Bissaka came up the ranks at Crystal Palace and made quite a name for himself before making the move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2019. The Red Devils forked out a massive £50 million to add him to their squad back in the day and handed him a £100,000-a-week contract.
While the Englishman did have an impressive start to life at Manchester United, he has not reached the heights he was expected to. The Red Devils had an injury crisis at the back last season which resulted in him featuring in 30 matches.
Manchester United ready to sell Wan-Bissaka
With his contract running out in 12 months, his future at Old Trafford looks quite uncertain. He is not an important part of Erik ten Hag’s plans moving ahead, and they are willing to cash in on him. Manchester United are aware of the fact that they cannot recoup much of what they had invested to sign him. But they remain hopeful of getting an opportunity to raise a significant amount which could be reinvested to bolster their squad.
Ten Hag’s team are already looking to bring in a new left-back given the injury history of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. But, those plans could undergo a major change if they manage to offload Wan-Bissaka in time. His departure will give them a financial boost on the back of which they will look to bring in a versatile full-back who can feature on either flank.
West Ham keen on signing Wan-Bissaka
West Ham United are one of the clubs that have been linked with the former Crystal Palace full-back. The Hammers do not have much depth in the full-back department with Vladimír Coufal being their only right-back option.
They are in desperate need of signing a right-sided full-back and could make a move for the Manchester United defender before the end of the transfer window. West Ham have already enquired about the 26-year-old’s availability as they look to prise him away from Old Trafford. But, they could face competition from AC Milan, who are also keen on his signature.
