Leny Yoro still prefers Real Madrid move despite Manchester United efforts

Manchester United have suffered a major blow in their pursuit of LOSC Lille defensive sensation Leny Yoro as he prefers joining Real Madrid.

According to a report from L’Equipe, Manchester United are pushing hard for the services of French sensation Leny Yoro. The Reds Devils even submitted an offer worth around €63 million. But they are unlikely to get their hands on the youngster as he has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid.

Yoro has been a part of LOSC Lille’s first team over the last two seasons. Despite being just 18, he has already established himself as a mainstay in the team. The teenager featured in 44 matches last season and even scored three goals.

While the youngster is an integral part of their first team, his future at the club is uncertain with his contract running out in 12 months. Leny Yoro is expected to be on the move to a bigger club having already turned down multiple renewal offers from Lille.

Manchester United make a massive offer for Yoro

With Yoro keen on joining a bigger club, multiple European giants have been linked with him. Manchester United are one of the clubs who are quite serious about their pursuit of the youngster. The Red Devils want to reinforce their backline after having struggled at the back because of injuries last season.

They are looking to bring in multiple young defenders who can help them in the short and long run. Leny Yoro is one of their top targets, and they recently tabled an offer of around €63 million plus add-ons for his services. While Manchester United have managed to meet the demands of the French club, the player is keen on moving to Old Trafford.

Yoro wants a move to Real Madrid

The Frenchman still prefers joining Real Madrid, who are not willing to break the bank for the teenager. While they are interested in his services and do rate him very highly, they won’t fork out a huge fee for someone who will be available for free in 12 months.

Los Blancos’ offer for the teenager barely exceeds the €20 million mark. With the player’s heart set on a move to Real Madrid, they seem to playing the waiting game. Meanwhile, the report suggests that Jorge Mendes is working hard to take his client to Madrid.
