Manchester United set to discuss Jadon Sancho future soon

Manchester United will reportedly discuss the long-term future of 24-year-old English attacker Jadon Sancho “in the next few days”.

According to a report by Caught Offside, Jadon Sancho might have a long-term future at Manchester United after the club’s recent u-turn to re-integrate him into first-team training. The Premier League outfit will discuss the long-term future of the 24-year-old attacker “in the next few days”, with Juventus keen on securing his services in the summer transfer window.

Jadon Sancho and his rocky road in Manchester

Jadon Sancho has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in July 2021. The Englishman arrived at Old Trafford amid much hype and fanfare surrounding him after the Premier League outfit chased his signature for over a year.

However, poor form and instability at Manchester United have contributed to Sancho being an underwhelming addition to the Manchester United squad. The 24-year-old has a paltry record of 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances thus far for the Red Devils. To make matters worse, his bust-up with Erik ten Hag at the onset of the 2023/24 season threatened to derail his career.

Sancho did not play in the last quarter of 2023 before Borussia Dortmund rescued him by re-signing him on loan in January 2024. The English attacker was impressive for the Bundesliga outfit and helped them reach the UEFA Champions League final. That compelled Borussia Dortmund to seek another move this summer, although they can only afford a loan move.

What next?

Jadon Sancho is also a target for Juventus, with recent reports claiming the Serie A giants are the front-runners to secure his services. However, the latest development has produced an earth-shattering twist, with Manchester United re-integrating the beleaguered attacker in the first-team training sessions.

However, that does not mean Sancho has resurrected his Manchester United career, as Manchester United will discuss his long-term future “in the next few days”. So, the 24-year-old English attacker might have a way back to Erik ten Hag’s squad.

But a summer sale is also an option, with Juventus hoping to secure Jadon Sancho’s services in the summer transfer window. So, it will be interesting to see where the Englishman plies his trade in the 2024/25 season after Manchester United’s recent u-turn.
