Viktor Tsygankov would be open to joining a Premier League club this summer, and a host of clubs are interested in the winger.
According to Caught Offside, Viktor Tsygankov will prefer to join a Premier League side this summer. Teams like Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United have seen links to the Ukrainian winger, as Girona might be left helpless if one of the sides triggers his €30 million release clause.
Viktor Tysgankov wants Premier League switch
Girona had a fantastic season in La Liga, where they exceeded expectations to challenge for the title but ended up in third behind Real Madrid and Barcelona. The fans are somewhat disappointed at their lower finish. Still, they will not be bothered considering the task they were up against, and are now looking forward to welcoming Champions League football next season.
As a consequence of their top season, Girona are in real danger of losing some of their top-rated stars to bigger clubs. Savinho has already moved to Manchester City, while Miguel Guitierrez, Artem Dovbyk, and Viktor Tsygankov are all linked to moves away from the club. In addition, Aleix Garcia has joined Bayer Leverkusen.
Tsygankov would love to move to the Premier League to level up his game and probably get a top financial contract. The teams that are interested in him do pack a punch, with Newcastle United and Aston Villa among those keen. Girona are helpless in the scenario of any club triggering Tsygankov’s reported €30 million release clause.
Arsenal also had contact with his camp and could emerge as a serious suitor for his signature. Tsygankov had a productive season for Girona but was underwhelmed at the Euros with Ukraine, and he would hope the latter does not diminish his chances of making a Premier League switch.
Where will Tsygankov join?
Aston Villa could consider him amid recent reports linking winger Moussa Diaby to Saudi Arabia. Should the Frenchman depart, Unai Emery would want a good enough replacement, as Tsygankov could be the one. Similarly, Newcastle United plan to sell Miguel Almiron and could see the €30 million-rated winger as his replacement.
Arsenal, on the other hand, have been looking to bring in another winger to cover for Bukayo Saka. While it is difficult to find a player to suit the role, many stars like Tsygankov might feel the need to play regularly at their new side, as competing for a place with Saka will not yield many minutes or a regular place in the starting lineup during the course of a season.
