PSG want to include 1-2 players in deal to sign Joao Neves

Joao Neves has been linked with a move away from Benfica, and several European heavyweights are keeping tabs on him.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on HITC, Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a part-exchange deal to sign Joao Neves. The Ligue 1 champions are willing to include a couple of players in the deal to sign the 19-year-old Benfica prodigy.

It will be interesting to see if Benfica are willing to accept the proposal. The Portuguese international has a €120 million release clause in his contract, and it is unlikely that any club will trigger it. Even though he remains a prodigious talent, Neves has done nothing to justify that kind of investment so far.

Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United keen on Neves

Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are keen on the player as well. Neves has the physical and technical attributes to do well in the Premier League, and he could be a key player for all three English clubs.

Arsenal need to bring a quality midfield controller, and Neves seems like the ideal fit for them. The 19-year-old will help them control the game from the deep, and he will help out defensively as well. On paper, he could be the ideal partner for Declan Rice next season.

Arsenal will be hoping to go all the way in the title race this time around, and they need quality players at disposal. The Portuguese international could make a huge difference for them. Liverpool will need to sign a quality central midfielder after the departure of Thiago Alcantara.

The Spanish international left the club earlier this summer, and Liverpool will lead to replace him adequately. Neves has the physical and technical attributes to replace the former Spanish international, and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool can get a deal done.

Manchester United are looking for a central midfielder as well. The likes of Casemiro, Scott McTominay, and Sofyan Amrabat were clearly not good enough for a club hoping to win major trophies last season, and the Red Devils will have to bring in an upgrade.

Neves would be a long-term investment for them and he could develop into a key player for the club. However, PSG might be the front-runners to secure the services of the Portuguese international, although it will be interesting to see if the offer of a part-exchange deal does the trick.
