Manchester United, Real Madrid table bids to sign Leny Yoro

Manchester United and Real Madrid have made contrasting offers to sign teenage defensive sensation Leny Yoro, with LOSC Lille in limbo.

According to Foot Mercato, Real Madrid have made a €20 million offer to sign defensive target Leny Yoro, while Manchester United have tabled a large bid for the defender. LOSC Lille is left in limbo about deciding on the centre-back’s future, as they would ideally want to rake in big money for the teenager.

Real Madrid Manchester United make contrasting Leny Yoro bids

The Leny Yoro battle picked up momentum in a short span, as LOSC Lille have received contrasting offers from two of his big suitors. Real Madrid and Manchester United have reportedly made offers for the teenage defensive sensation, with the French side left in limbo.

Liverpool have also been in constant contact with the defender’s camp, although they might prefer to wait to see how the current saga pans out. Manchester United made a big statement by offering €50 million for the 18-year-old, an offer Lille accepted without hesitation.

The big issue is that Real Madrid remains Yoro’s preferred destination, with the defender willing to wait until next summer to move on a free transfer. The Spanish giants have only offered €20 million, which seems in contrast to Manchester United’s proposal.

Madrid were open to offering €25-30 million, which is still considered low for Lille’s liking. Florentino Perez is keen to adopt a similar strategy they used when signing Eduardo Camavinga from Stade Rennes when the player was in an identical situation. They ended up signing the midfielder for a cheap price in the end.

LOSC Lille in a limbo over Yoro decision

Lille has a big decision to make, as they are aware that the 18-year-old only wants to join Real Madrid. This is also the reason why Liverpool have not made a bid, although Manchester United may have made a big decision to make a big money offer.

Lille are in limbo on whether to accept Madrid’s lowly bid and make whatever they can on their prodigious defensive talent or take the risk of keeping him so as to let Yoro run down his contract. Madrid will eventually get the player either at a low cost or on a free transfer, as the Ligue 1 side has a decision to make.
