Real Madrid could sign Leny Yoro for €25-30 million

Real Madrid can acquire the services of Liverpool defensive target Leny Yoro for just €25-30 million this summer.

According to José Manuel Moreno, Real Madrid are keen on signing Leny Yoro ahead of next season as they look to reinforce their backline. The French defensive sensation has made quite a name for himself, and he is on the wishlist of multiple top clubs, including Liverpool. But Yoro seems to have his heart set on a move to the Spanish giants.

The French youth international came up the ranks of LOSC Lille at some pace. He was promoted to their first team in the summer of 2022 and already has 60 appearances for the senior team. Yoro was one of their mainstays last season, and his consistent performances have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs.

Real Madrid are one of the clubs that have been linked with the 18-year-old for a while now. Los Blancos might have won La Liga and Champions League last season, but they struggled at the back because of injuries to key players. While they did manage to go past the 2023/24 season, Nacho Fernandez’s departure means they will have to bring in a centre-back on a priority basis.

Real Madrid to agree a cut-price fee for Yoro?

Yoro is their preferred choice to help them cope with Nacho’s absence. The Spanish giants already have an agreement in place with the player about a move to Real Madrid. The Lille centre-back dreams of playing for the team in white, and he is willing to wait for them after agreeing personal terms.

Real Madrid are not expected to negotiate terms with the French club. But, they are not looking to rush into anything as they do not want to meet Lille’s asking price of around €40-50 million. Carlo Ancelotti’s team do not want to overpay for someone whose contract runs out in 12 months.

They will only move when they feel the time is right. People at the club are confident that Lille will agree to their offer which won’t exceed the €25-30 million mark. With his contract running out and Yoro not willing to pen a new deal, the French club do not really have many options to play with.

While Liverpool are also keen on signing the teenage defensive sensation, they are waiting in the wings according to Fabrizio Romano. If his move to Real Madrid collapses, the Merseyside club will put the foot on the accelerator to bring him to the club.
