Jadon Sancho wants Premier League move amid Juventus links

Jadon Sancho reportedly wants to join a Premier League club amid his links with Serie A giants Juventus, with his Manchester United career over.

According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, Jadon Sancho is the subject of interest from Juventus. The 24-year-old does not have a future at Manchester United, with the Red Devils demanding around €50 million to part ways with him in the summer transfer window. However, he wants to join a Premier League club instead of moving to Serie A this year.

Jadon Sancho and his Manchester United travails

Jadon Sancho joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund with a lot of hype and fanfare surrounding him. The Red Devils chased the Englishman for a few years before securing his services three years ago. However, he has been a dud for the Premier League heavyweights thus far.

The 24-year-old was dreadful in his debut season, while mental issues hampered his second campaign with Manchester United. However, things spiralled out of control at the onset of the 2023/24 season as Sancho clashed with Erik ten Hag after the Dutchman’s comments on his performances on the training pitch.

Erik ten Hag banished Sancho from the first-team picture before Borussia Dortmund gave him an escape route by signing him on loan in January. The English attacker was solid for the Black and Yellows, chipping in with three goals and three assists in 21 appearances across all competitions. With the loan move over, he is back at Manchester United, with Juventus hoping to secure his services.

What next for Sancho?

Juventus’s interest in Jadon Sancho is understandable. The Serie A giants have been scouring the market for an offensive reinforcement heading into the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term future of Federico Chiesa. However, Juventus would prefer an initial loan deal for the Manchester United man.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will demand around €50 million to part ways with Sancho in the summer transfer window. However, the 24-year-old Englishman does not want to join the Serie A club, as he wants to remain in the Premier League after leaving Manchester United.

Recent reports have claimed that intermediaries have offered the English international to many Premier League bigwigs. So, it will be interesting to see where Sancho plies his trade in the 2024/25 season amid his links with Fulham.
