Manchester United, Tottenham learn asking price for Baris Alper Yilmaz

Manchester United and Tottenham have received further information about Baris Alper Yilmaz and learned Galatasaray’s asking price.

According to Heber 3, Manchester United and Tottenham have learned Baris Alper Yilmaz’s asking price ahead of the summer. The Premier League giants are keen on the 24-year-old Turkish international, with Galatasaray set to demand at least €30 million for the striker.

Baris Alper Yilmaz will cost €30 million

Baris Alper Yilmaz might be less prolific of strikers around, but sure enough, he does bring something different to the table. While his goalscoring numbers are not up there with some of his more prolific colleagues in the world of football, he’s among those forwards who can bring others into play rather expertly.

Galatasaray’s posting 102 points in a season is by no means a surprise, given the quality of their team. Yilmaz indeed played a crucial part in facilitating the game for his teammates, as they lifted the Turkish League title together back in May. His performances have attracted the interest of many clubs, with Manchester United and Tottenham watching him at the Euros

The Premier League giants have considered the 24-year-old Turkish international a big option, although he’s not the only striker they track. He has played all three games at Euro 2024 but has yet to open his account, which he will hope to do against Austria in Turkey’s round-of-16 clash.

However, Galatasaray are set to demand €30 million from suitors and will only sell Yilmaz for that price. It’s justified to a level, considering his performances and what he brings to the team. Whether Manchester United and Tottenham are willing to do that much remains the question, but undoubtedly, this is within range for those Premier League sides.

Premier League dup chasing other strike targets

Manchester United had internal discussions about Joshua Zirkzee and is seriously considering a move for the Bologna forward. INEOS has outlined a specific profile of a striker they wish to sign for the team, and that includes the player being young and with a higher ceiling.

Tottenham, are chasing someone who could bring goals and with a higher upside to his future. They could potentially replace Richarlison, who is coming at the back of a second consecutive season with underwhelming numbers since his £60 million move from Everton in 2022.
